Meet the Founder

Anthony DeSanto

Founder and CEO

I was lucky. I grew up in the construction industry; my dad was a plumbing contractor, and I learned at a young age that the opportunity to make the connection between classroom theory and real-world application is invaluable. You can talk about the Pythagorean theorem all you want in math class, but having to apply it on a job site to connect a sewer line at a 45-degree angle while your boss is looking over your shoulder is a different matter.

I earned my bachelor’s degree from the California Maritime Academy, and after sailing as a third officer, I decided to get into teaching and became a math teacher. In 2014, after twenty years of teaching high school math, I noticed that most students do not have the opportunity to apply what is taught in the classroom in real-world settings. To bridge that gap between theory and the real world, I decided to merge my two passions, education and construction, forming Dynamic Education. I believe that allowing students to apply what they have learned from books gives them a sense of accomplishment and confidence they have not felt before.

For recreation, I like to golf, surf, and play the drums. I believe in the adage, “If it’s physical, it’s therapy.” When my wife and I have some spare time, we like to go to the driving range. We also enjoy hanging out with our dogs, Brutus (St. Bernard) and Sonny (Labradoodle).

How We Work

At Dynamic Education, we focus on hands-on learning because we know that experience is the best teacher. Whether it’s a one-day workshop or a two-year high school program, our approach is always centered on providing students with real-world skills. Our instructors are experienced tradespeople who understand the importance of practical application, ensuring that each lesson prepares students for real-life challenges in the field.

We also pride ourselves on flexibility. We work closely with schools and organizations to customize our offerings, from short-term projects to full-scale educational pathways. Every program is designed to meet California’s Career Technical Education (CTE) standards and fulfill Perkins Grant requirements, guaranteeing a comprehensive and high-quality learning experience.

Dynamic Education specializes in construction trades, focusing on four main areas:

Carpentry Program
Electrical Program
Plumbing Program
Welding Program

The welding program that I have participated in brought me out of my comfort zone and showed me something that I have an interest for. It has brought me new friends that I thought I would never have. It is so joyful to be taught by a teacher that loves what he is doing and knows how to joke around and also be serious. Being able to use this knowledge and be able to possibly get a certification and be able to get a job after.
